Jones Hall

Located in Downtown Houston's Theater District, Jones Hall is the stunning home of the Houston Symphony. This impressive concert hall includes the beautiful Grand Lobby, with impressive touches like its curving marble walls and the Richard Lippold sculpture, Gemini II. The Theater is one of the finest in the country, boasting incredible acoustics, and can seat anywhere from 2,300 to 2,900 in the audience. Located in Houston's Energy Corridor, George Bush Park offers 7,800 acres of winding trails for walking, jogging, hiking, biking and horseback riding. The beautiful park is also home to shooting range, rock climbing area, a playground, archery, horseshoes, a dog park, volleyball courts, ponds, pavilions and picnic tables, so there's definitely outdoor fun for everyone. George Bush Park also offers several fields for soccer, baseball, softball and model airplane flying. Stroll or ride along the large wooden bridge that crosses the Buffalo Bayou, called the Boardwalk.

Located in downtown Houston, Minute Maid Park is the home field of the Houston Astros, a Major League Baseball team. The ballpark boasts a retractable stadium roof, protecting fans and players from the elements of rain and fierce Texas sunshine. The design of the ballpark takes its inspiration for historic Union Station, which has been integrated into Minute Maid Park's structure as the left-field side entrance. In fact, a locomotive on that side moves down the track whenever the Astros score a home run. Minute Maid Park also presents concerts, special events and stadium tours.

Wortham Center

For 35 years, the Wortham Center in downtown Houston has been a cultural beacon. Home to the Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet, Wortham houses two theatrical spaces, the larger Alice and George Brown Theater and the Lillie and Roy Cullen Theater. The Brown Theater boasts 2,405 seats for the ballet and opera performances. The more intimate Cullen Theater has 1,100 seats and presents incredible performing arts and dance groups, such as Da Camera of Houston, Society for the Performing Arts, Mercury and Houston Metropolitan Dance.

Houston Galleria

One of the largest malls in the country, Houston Galleria is a fashionable, high-end shopping destination with more than 400 stores, shops and restaurants.
